Nepal is a country that is all too familiar with poverty and injustice. However a tragedy such as this sets them back even farther. The teachers who traveled their understand this reality in a very real way, after seeing it for themselves first hand.
The four Angus Morrison teachers have sprung into action to help their friends and the neighboring community in Nepal's time of need. They have initiated fundraising efforts in an attempt to send quick relief as much as they can. The Angus Morrison community has also jumped at this opportunity to assist our Sister school.If you are interested in donating funds click here to their "Fundme" page.
The teachers have since been interviewed for a number of media outlets. The Barrie Examiner, City TV, CKVR News and other local news sources. The following link explains some of the most recent updates in Nepal as told by a Parent of a past student and the input of our four teachers reactions to the news. {Barrie Examiner article}
These teachers have represented our school very well and have been fantastic role models for our student body. Check them out on CTV News talking about their trip.
